It’s getting bigger folks! Black Rock City will be growing by 1,800,000 square feet, the esplanade will be 2,500 feet longer, and the distance from the Man to the esplanade will be increased 500 feet. Click here for full details and maps.

DeBase Camp’s next planning meeting will be held June 28th. On the agenda is event scheduling. We will need to know all classes planned so we can block the time off and notify the BMOrg for inclusion in their official event calendar. We also need to coordinate with the other event planners of DeBase Camp.

Our current MMA schedule is available on our “Take” page. We have also been contacted by other burners + martial artists who have offered to teach classes. Please email me at spicy@brc.cc and let me know what you will need and what day and time you would like to hold your class.

We should find out from the placement team early August where our camp will be. We’ll make sure to let you know here and in the official Burning Man Calendar.

Debase Camp has submitted its application to the Burning Man Organization! Thank you to Mostly for doing the write up and detailing our camp!

We have requested placement at Avenue 7:30 or Avenue 4:30.

In addition to the BRC-CC, Debase Camp will also be offering performances by in-camp musicians, a lip-synch performance piece called Journey Friday, and Yoga sessions from a camp member who is a Kundalini Yoga instructor.

Our communal shade structure for events (where the BRC-CC classes will be held) will be approximately 40×50, that is a total of 2000 square feet! Now, we’ve got to get moving on collecting mats! Do you have any to spare? Please see our “Give” page if you can help!

Just an update: we had our first planning meeting yesterday and it went swimmingly well! We’re off to a strong start and Debase Camp will be collectively providing our workout space! That puts us at just over 30% of the way there. Our major need is currently mats, if you have any to donate, please let us know!
